project goal: to replicate in ceramic a stuffed hedgehog that my mother had and that accompanied my parents on their travels
making of
this ceramic hedgehog comes together slowly as the clay is pushed, pinched, and shaped by hand, its little spikes poked in one by one before it dries and gets fired, turning a lumpy bit of mud into a small creature that actually feels alive
